Planter Wall

The existing wall was rotting and falling down for a Hollywood actor client of mine. I ran a floating natural metal shelf idea by her and she went for it. I excavated the existing wall completely and dug concrete, rebar reinforced piers for the structural steel poles to accommodate the floating shelves. Both sides were clad with Ipe hardwood. Each piece had to be pre drilled and custom fitted due to the steep angle of the road the house sits on. The wood was oiled and the metal treated to age with the elements allowing for natural patinas to develop and blend in with the planters.
